Collectively, they could be described as the backbone of the UL Lafayette Alumni Association. They make sure that alumni events go off without a hitch; they organize and plan for the future of the Association; and they implement a lot of your ideas and suggestions, just to name a few of the things they do.
The Alumni Association staff is an integral part of the Association's success and is composed of individuals who have a lot in common, but whose talents and interests are diverse. Get to know the people behind the Alumni Association.
Jennifer earned a BA in Public Relations with a business concentration minor from UL Lafayette in 1992. During her student years, Jennifer participated as a Student Orientation Staff leader and was a member of Public Relations Student Society of America, Kappa Delta, Order of Omega and the Student Discipline Committee. She was recognized as Who's Who Among College Students and also was a student worker for the alumni center for 4 years. Jennifer has been an avid alumni volunteer serving on the alumni council for 4 years as well as serving as silent auction chairman twice for the Spring Gala. Jennifer is currently participating in Leadership Lafayette (class XXVIII) and most recently worked for Home Bank serving as Retail Sales Coordinator. Jennifer is married to Nock LeMeunier. They have four sons: Graham, Jacob, John and Christopher.
John Claude is a Lafayette native and a 1995 Public Relations graduate of UL. He is responsible for outreach efforts including programs, special events, and services aimed at serving alumni in geographic areas and those associated with various constituency groups. He was previously employed at the Lafayette Convention and Visitors Commission and the Graham Group, a local advertising agency. While a student, he was active on campus in PRSSA, Sigma Gamma Mu Communication Honor Society and Theta Xi Fraternity. He previously served on the Alumni Homecoming Committee. John Claude is actively involved with various community, non-profit, church and professional organizations.
Catherine is responsible for coordinating special events and programs, such as Homecoming and Spring Gala, aimed at engaging alumni and relationship building. She serves as advisor for the Association of Future Alumni and a member of UL Lafayette's official ring committee. A native of Lafayette, Catherine graduated with a Bachelor of General Studies degree in December 2011. While enrolled at UL, she was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority, the Student Alumni Association, and served on Greek and PanHellenic Council. Catherine is married to Benjamin Baudoin.
Erica Falgout - Assistant Director
Erica joined the staff in the fall of 2014 and is responsible for the Association’s internet presence and marketing. She is a 2013 Mass Communication graduate with a concentration in Public Relations. During her time at Nicholls State University she was the design and layout editor of the University's newspaper, treasurer of the PRSSA chapter, and a teacher's assistant in the Publication Design for Mass Communication course. She is coming from a year of corporate marketing and graphic design experience and plans on attending Graduate School at UL.
Tucker Sappington - Assistant Director
Tucker serves as the Assistant Director for membership and fundraising and is responsible for the planning and execution of the Alumni Association's annual membership drive, the Loyalty Fund, as well as all other fundraising activities that focus on relationship building and fulfillment of the Association's mission. Tucker comes to the Alumni Association after having served the past seven years as Assistant Dean of Students overseeing fraternities on campus. He has also held several positions with local non-profit and community groups having served on multiple boards. Tucker earned his Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations in 2006.
Celeste manages the daily financial responsibilities of the Alumni Association and assists the Executive Director with day-to-day operations, as well as supporting the Alumni Center & staff with special events. Celeste was an Alumni Association volunteer for over 15 years before joining the staff. Prior to joining the staff, she worked in banking for 20 years. Celeste and her husband, Ben Rushing, '91, have two children, Mitchel and Katie.
Monica manages the day-to-day operations of the Alumni Center along with the clerical needs of the office. She answers incoming calls, supervises student workers, and provides support for the Assistant Directors who organize special events, Spring Gala, Homecoming, reunions, fan travel, and deal with our clubs and chapters. Monica is the first contact most alumni will have when calling or visiting the office. She has worked for the University for 13 years in Human Resources and most recently the Graduate School. She completed the University's Paralegal Program through the University College in the Fall of 1994. She and her husband, Charlie, have one son, Justin and one daughter, Macy.
Tammy is responsible for the preplanning details of special events and programs which are aimed at engaging alumni. She reports directly to the executive director of Alumni Affairs and works closely with the assistant directors in the beginning phases of planning Alumni events, providing special assistance for successful execution. Tammy is married to Robert Paul Broussard and they reside in Carencro. She has two daughters, Tiffany, '08 UL graduate, and Lindsay who is seeking a major in Psychology and is expected to graduate in Spring 2016. Tammy retired with 31 years of service in June of 2013 and returned to work on a part time basis beginning August of 2013. She is also the proud grandmother of 4 grandchildren.
